Miami International sits about nine miles from PortMiami, and on a clear Tuesday morning the drive is fifteen minutes. On a Saturday in January, with four ships turning around and the airport at capacity, the same nine miles can take forty-five. That gap is the whole reason to pre-book rather than join the taxi line.
We track your flight number from departure. If you land ninety minutes late, your pickup moves with you at no extra charge — there is no meter running while you clear baggage claim, and nobody gives your vehicle away.
How the pickup works at MIA
For most bookings your driver meets you inside, at the bottom of the escalators in the arrivals hall for your terminal, holding a name board. He helps with the bags and walks you to the vehicle. If you would rather skip the walk, we can do a curbside pickup instead — tell us when you book and we will time it to your bag claim.
MIA's arrivals roadway is split by terminal and airline, so the single most useful thing you can send us is your flight number rather than a terminal letter. Airlines get moved; flight numbers do not.

1–4 passengers. Two people with two checked bags. The default for business travelers connecting to a cruise.

4–6 passengers. A family of four with cruise luggage. The bags are the constraint here, not the seats — a week's cruise packing does not fit one SUV.
Mercedes-Benz Sprinter
7–14 passengers. The workhorse for this route. Stand-up height, one low step in, and a rear bay that takes the whole party's checked bags.
Mini coach / motorcoach
15–56 passengers. Family reunions, church groups and wedding parties sailing together. Book these two to three weeks out in season.

How much time should I leave between landing and boarding?
Most cruise lines close boarding roughly ninety minutes before sailing. Landing at MIA four hours before your ship sails is comfortable; three hours is workable if you have carry-on only; two is a gamble you do not want to take on an international arrival, where immigration alone can eat an hour.
What if my flight is delayed?
Nothing changes for you. We watch the flight, and the pickup time moves with it. There is no delay charge and no need to call us — though you are welcome to.
Can you stop at a hotel or a store on the way?
Yes. A supermarket stop for water and wine before boarding is a common request. Tell us when you book so it is in the quoted price rather than a surprise on the day.
Do you go to every PortMiami terminal?
Every one — Terminals AA, A, B, C, D, E, F, J and V. Tell us your cruise line and we will confirm the terminal, since assignments do move.
