Miami Beach transportation
South Beach, Mid-Beach, North Beach and the barrier island north to the county line.
Miami Beach is our single busiest pickup area, and the one where local knowledge earns its keep. The barrier island is served by a handful of causeways, and which one your driver takes changes the journey time materially — the MacArthur is the direct line to PortMiami, but on a cruise Saturday the Julia Tuttle is often faster to the airport.
The other local reality is the hotels themselves. South Beach properties along Ocean Drive and Collins have tight or non-existent driveways; several cannot take anything larger than an SUV at the entrance. For Sprinter and coach pickups we agree a loading point with the hotel in advance rather than discovering the problem on the morning.
What we are booked for in Miami Beach
- Hotel to PortMiami on embarkation morning — the most-booked trip on the island.
- MIA arrivals to a Beach hotel, with the flight tracked so a delay costs nothing.
- Evening hire for dinner in Brickell or Wynwood and a late run home.
- Wedding guest shuttles between Beach hotels and the venue.

Good to know
Questions about Miami Beach.
How long from Miami Beach to the Port of Miami?
About five miles over the MacArthur Causeway — fifteen to thirty-five minutes depending on the day. On a cruise Saturday, Collins Avenue and the causeway approach both back up, so we set the pickup earlier than the distance suggests.
Can a Sprinter or coach reach my South Beach hotel?
Sometimes. Many Ocean Drive and Collins properties have very tight driveways or none at all, and some blocks restrict loading. For anything larger than an SUV we agree the loading point with the hotel before the day rather than discovering the problem on the morning.
Which airport should I use from Miami Beach?
MIA is usually closer — twenty to forty minutes against forty to seventy for FLL. But if you are north of about 63rd Street and the fares are similar, FLL is worth comparing.
Do you cover Bal Harbour, Surfside and Sunny Isles?
Yes, the whole barrier island up to the county line. Those pickups are a little further out so we adjust the timing accordingly.
